Ropes/Adventure CourseOur adventure course is a series of physical initiatives to create problems that may only be solved through the participation of the entire group (10-15) people. Our trained facilitator creates an environment in which it is normative to seek the contribution of each individual. Therefore the adventure course is useful whenever a group desires to breakdown hierarchical, sexist or racial patterns, to study power issues, to create a cooperative, collegial style of group life. To begin a newly formed group, such as a Work Group or a Confirmation Class, or to give a reason to celebrate a group that is functioning collaboratively and well. For individuals, participation within the group leads to feelings of empowerment, empathy, personal success, and fun that transfers to “real life” quite easily. |
